As I am currently trying to re-vamp my room I have been making some Cath Kidston inspired cushions to go on my bed . . . with the help of my sister of course :) . . . and I think they will look pretty good in my room when its finished.
Amigurumi Dinosaur . . . I think he is my new favourite :) . . . again easy to make just using and adapting a simple ball this time adding little felt spikes and a velvety tummy too.
I made these little shortbreads and thought they could also make good gifts, maybe without the food colouring next time . . . but they tasted lovely anyway . . . even if a little crispy :)
I made this flower yesterday after seeing this tutorial for wallflowers, but instead of using 4 whole napkins as she did, I cut one into four pieces to make a smaller flower which I think will go in the wrapping cupboard to go on a gift at some point . . .
I recently saw this post on 'You Go Girl!' and had an idea to make a similar thing as a paperweight for my desk . . . I made it using a pattern for a juggling ball and adding a leaf to make look more apple-like.
Not too sure about this one . . . looks kind of interesting . . . but easy to make all the same by following this tutorial for making a ball and just adapting it in places to make a piggy nose etc.
So, I made these cakes today which actually turned out more like muffins than cupcakes and tasted lovely. Just decorated them with either citrus glace icing, orange buttercream or lemon drizzle topping . . . and I think they look very loverly - even if fairly yellow. They also went in the cakebook :) .
Recently I had an idea to make a crocheted bag out of lots of granny squares . . . they are really simple to make and when I put them all together it should look good . . .
To make ones like this you just . . . chain 4 double crochet back into the first chain chain two and double crochet 3 into the same chain do this 3 times slip stitch into the turning chain chain 3 double crochet in every stitch at each corner do 2 double crochets in the first chain make 2 chains and then do 2 double crochets into the next chain carry on until its as big as you want it
So . . . I've ran out of space to keep all my bangles and found a solution in painting a kitchen roll holder a nicer colour and felting the bottom and personally I think it looks pretty good.
